The elegant Motor Yacht Callisto recently joined the VARIETY CRUISES fleet and is true to her name: Elegant, classic. She was fully refit / rebuilt in 2000 and was thoroughly renovated in in 2015-16. This classy Motor Yacht has performed several Atlantic Ocean crossings, and has also sailed along the most interesting coastal sites of Europe, North and West Africa. The M/Y Callisto is of the “boutique” category of cruiser, and offers the highest standard of accommodation, comfort and safety. The yacht’s public areas are cozy and generous, decorated with rich fabrics, handsome woodwork, gleaming brass, antiques and fine works of art. During the day, life on board centres around the indoor and outdoor areas including the Upper deck Indoor and Outdoor lounge/bar and dining areas as well as the cosy Library located on the Sun Deck. The lounge/bar and dining room on the Upper deck are connected by the gallery, displaying exquisite art and adding to the overall feeling of elegance and style. In the evening you can relax in the ship’s lounge, enjoy a drink overlooking the stars or relax with a book in the library with its wraparound windows. The spacious lounge and bar area on the Upper Deck is surrounded by large picture windows and opens onto the Outdoor Dining area. The yacht features a broad Sun Deck for sunbathing and the swimming platform on Callisto’s stern enables you to swim off the ship when in sheltered bays. Service on board is provided by your Captain, the Cruise Coordinator and your experienced Marine and Hotel crew members.

The category C cabins are located on the lower deck featuring port holes.They all have marble-appointed en suite bathrooms with showers. Category B:
Lower Deck (Twin Beds)

The category B cabins are located on the lower deck featuring port holes.They all have marble-appointed en suite bathrooms with showers. Cabins have individually controlled A/C and fitted with TV, telephone (for internal use), hairdryers, mini-fridge, central music, public address system and safe boxes.
Category A:
Main Deck (Twin or Double Beds)

The category A cabins are located on the Main deck featuring large windows. Category A cabins at the bow section of the Main deck are equipped with Double beds, while all other Category A cabins are equipped with Twin beds.They all have marble-appointed en suite bathrooms with showers. Cabins have individually controlled A/C and fitted with TV,  telephone (for internal use), hairdryers, mini-fridge, central music, public address system and safe boxes.
Category P:
Main Deck (Twin or Double Beds)

The category P cabins are located on the Main deck featuring large windows. Category P cabins located at the bow section of the Main deck are equipped with Double beds, while all other Category P cabins at the Main Deck are equipped with Twin beds.They all have marble-appointed en suite bathrooms with showers. Cabins have individually controlled A/C and fitted with TV,  telephone (for internal use), hairdryers, mini-fridge, central music, public address system and safe boxes.
Indoor Dining Area:
The lounge/bar and indoor dining room on the Upper deck are connected with each other by the gallery, displaying exquisite art and adding to the overall feeling of elegance and style. The classy dining room accommodates all guests at one single seating.
Indoor Bar & Lounge Area:
The indoor lounge area with bar is located on the Upper deck and displays exquisite art  adding to the overall feeling of elegance and style. The spacious lounge and bar area on the Upper Deck is surrounded by large picture windows and opens onto the Outdoor sitting area.
Library:
Located on the Sundeck, the Library with its wraparound windows is the ideal area to relax with a book while engaging with the passing scenery.
Outdoor Dining Area:
The Outdoor Dining Area where meals are served "al fresco" -weather permitting-, is located on the Upper Deck being the ideal place to admire the passing scenery or enjoy your meal overlooking the stars.
Sun Deck:
The M/Y Callisto featuresa broad Sun Deck for sunbathing, with loungers, chairs and umbrellas. Located onthe Sun Deck, the area is the ideal place to bask under the sun and completely unwind while gazing at the passing scenery.
Swimming Platform:
The swimming platform on Callisto’s stern enables you to swim off the ship in sheltered bays, weather permitting.

We recently did the Garden of Eden cruise around the Seychelles on the Pegasus sailing on 16th April. The fact that there were only 12 passengers instead of a maximum of 44 meant we were treated like royalty. Good mix of Brits and continentals and everyone got on well. We had a class A cabin which was comfortable and a reasonable size but as this is not the most modern ship the bathroom is quite small and the fittings are a little dated. The food however was very good throughout with decent choice and the fresh fish served was excellent. The staff were very professional and friendly and nothing was ever too much trouble, so a big credit to the captain and Markos who was in charge of Hotel operations. Enjoyed the excursions to Curieuse, Cousin and Aride islands particularly,which are basically nature reserves with no other facilities .For those interested in the natural world and ornithology in particular then these are excellent excursions and the landings on small boats through big surf waves was all part of the fun. The optional excursion to Vallee de Mai on Praslin was enjoyable and informative. There were several excellent snorkelling trips using the zodiacs and the variety of fish and marine life was pretty good and a lot of new coral growth was particularly evident! So to summarise, thoroughly enjoyed the cruise which certainly exceeded our expectations. As this was our first cruise with Variety it will almost certainly not be our last since we particularly enjoy small ship cruising and they have an interesting schedule of similar cruises!
Recently (April 2016) cruise in the Seychelles which was magnificent. Everything you want from a good holiday, plenty to see, beautiful locations and beaches, fauna and flora. The boat Pegosos was wonderful, very comfortable and a fabulous crew that looked after everything. It truly is a luxury experience. Other guests were a lot of fun and the ship is small enough to make it feel like a private charter. The Excursion guide was very good and made sure we didn't miss anything. So happy to see the Tortoises on some of the Island stops, a very good way to see the Seychelles -- highly recommended and very good value. Food was excellent and lovely BBQs on the beach. Take my advice and go!
Pegus Seychelles. We had a fantastic holiday and a big thank you to Variety Cruises. We found all the staff without exception very helpful ,accommodating, entertaining and great fun which made the experience all the more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this holiday.
