Exciting Renovations at Variety Cruises in 2025: Enhancing Your Onboard Experience
At Variety Cruises, our commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences is at the heart of everything we do. As we prepare for the upcoming season, we’re excited to share the details of our ongoing renovations aimed at refreshing and modernizing our fleet. These enhancements will ensure that our vessels not only meet but exceed the expectations of our guests, providing an even more enjoyable and comfortable cruising experience.
A Focus on Quality and Guest Comfort
Since November, we have embarked on a targeted renovation plan that focuses on the M/S Galileo and M/Y Harmony V, two of our beloved ships. With significant investments in our fleet, we are dedicated to ensuring that every detail contributes to a welcoming environment where guests can relax and immerse themselves in the beauty of their destinations.
The below upgrades are in addition to Technical upgrades related Drydock repairs, Main Engine repairs, and Surveys & Inspections.
M/S Galileo : Major Renovation
M/S Galileo will undergo extensive renovations designed to modernize and refresh its facilities. The planned upgrades include:
➣Interior Design Upgrades ( Complete Wallpaper Replacement, Replacement of Carpets and updated Décor and Finishes )
➣Surface and Finishing Enhancements ( Fresh Paint, Varnishing of Wooden Surfaces )
➣Bathroom Renovations ( Comprehensive Bathroom and Shower Upgrades )
These renovations are set to be completed prior to the 2025 launch, ensuring that M/S Galileo is ready to welcome guests with open arms.
M/Y Harmony V : Special Focus
M/Y Harmony V will also receive a series of updates aimed at enhancing the guest experience, including:
➣Interior Enhancements ( Replacement of Carpets with Durable Wooden Flooring, Upgrades to Lounge Furniture, Replacement of Outdated Light Fixtures, Installation of Additional Soundproofing and Improved Signage Throughout the Vessel)
➣Bathroom Upgrades ( Deep Cleaning and Polishing of Stainless-Steel Fixtures )
➣Woodwork Refinishing & Renovation of Glass Areas on the Sun Deck
➣Design & Aesthetic Improvements ( New Furniture and Lighting on the Sun Deck )
These thoughtful enhancements will ensure that guests aboard M/Y Harmony V enjoy an elevated cruising experience.
Refreshing Our Remaining Vessels
In addition to the major renovations on M/S Galileo and M/Y Harmony V, all our other vessels, including the Harmony G, Panorama, Panorama II, Variety Voyager, Pegasos and Callisto will undergo essential maintenance and additional updates.

April 2025 Enhancements and Maintenance
Hotel & Guest Area Upgrades:
• Full redesign of lounge texture and materials for a more refined and contemporary atmosphere
• Installation of new umbrellas and sun deck shading for improved guest comfort
• Varnishing and protective treatment of all wooden interior and exterior surfaces
• Sikaflex resealing completed in all cabins to prevent water ingress and noise transmission
• Full interior painting of guest cabins and corridors
• Replacement of gueridon wallpaper and decorative elements for a modernized look
• Improved ambient lighting installation in cabins and public areas
• Sound insulation improvements in guest corridor walls and ceilings
Marine & Technical Works:
• Complete exterior hull cleaning, anti-fouling, and repainting
• Inspection and servicing of main engines, generators, and auxiliary systems
• Overhaul of fire detection systems and emergency lighting
• Renewal of deck sealing, non-slip coatings, and exterior varnishes
• Preventive inspection of stabilizers and bilge systems
• Compliance checks and class survey preparation (SOLAS & MARPOL)
M/Y Callisto
March 2025 Maintenance and Interior Refresh
Hotel & Guest Area Upgrades:
• Full repainting of all guest cabins and interior corridors
• Varnishing and restoration of wooden trims, handrails, and staircases
• Sikaflex resealing of all cabin floors and windows to enhance structural integrity
• New cushions and soft furnishings added to the lounge and bar
• Upgrades to air conditioning diffusers and ceiling panels in public areas
• New corridor and stairway lighting fixtures to improve guest navigation
• Lounge area refreshed with updated decorative pieces and accent lighting
Marine & Technical Works:
• Full hull painting and underwater treatment for improved fuel efficiency
• Replacement of mooring ropes and routine maintenance of winches
• Propeller shaft alignment inspection and preventive service
• Lifeboats and fire-fighting system serviced and tested
• Electrical panel cleaning and thermal imaging inspection to prevent overload
• Soundproofing reinforcement in machinery spaces
M/S Panorama
February 2025 Winter Refit Works
Hotel & Guest Area Upgrades:
• Major replacement of cabin carpets
• Repainting of guest cabins, corridors, and public areas with eco-friendly, anti-mold paints
• Extensive revarnishing of all woodwork (interior and exterior)
• Sikaflex sealing throughout all cabins and window frames
• New mattresses and pillows added in guest rooms for enhanced sleep quality
• New outside chairs
Marine & Technical Works:
• Replacement of the engine exhaust silencer, reducing onboard vibration and noise
• Deep cleaning and de-rusting of the main exhaust funnel (φουγάρο)
• Hull blasting and repainting with high-efficiency marine coating
• General overhaul of water pumps and HVAC ventilation systems
• Inspection and re-calibration of bridge navigation electronics
• Renewal of gangway mechanisms and railing reinforcements
M/Y Variety Voyager
March 2025 Preventive Maintenance & Guest Area Touch-Ups

• Full refresh of soft furnishings in lounge and dining areas with modern textiles
• Detailed cabin upgrades including mattress toppers, blackout curtains, and minibar enhancements
• Sun deck furniture renewal, including loungers, umbrellas, and cushions
• Sikaflex resealing and floor reinforcement in all guest cabins
• Soundproofing improvements between guest cabins and technical spaces
• Updated guest information signage throughout the vessel
• Refitting of bathroom mirrors, accessories, and light fixtures
Marine & Technical Works:
• Comprehensive hull and superstructure repainting and corrosion treatment
• Full maintenance of propulsion shafts, rudders, and seals
• Generator overhauls and energy efficiency optimization
• Servicing and balancing of HVAC systems throughout technical spaces and cabins
• Exhaust funnel inspection, cleaning, and repainting
• Inspection of fire doors, watertight doors, and emergency exits
• Ballast tank cleaning and testing for improved maneuverability
M/Y Pegasos

Hotel & Guest Area Upgrades:
- Replacement of outside furniture to enhance guest areas.
- Adjustments to the buffet settings for improved functionality and presentation.
- Varnishing of all wooden surfaces/deck flooring to refresh the overall appearance.
- Updates in the bathrooms to improve comfort and aesthetics.
- Installation of new curtains for a fresh interior look.
Marine & Technical Works:
- Exterior refreshment, painting, and general maintenance to maintain the vessel’s aesthetics and protection.
- Routine maintenance on deck equipment and fittings.
- Standard technical inspections and upgrades according to the S.O.L.A.S class of our vessels.
