PIONEERING PRIDE IN THE CRUISE INDUSTRY: VARIETY CRUISES CONTINUES TO HONOR THE LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY
Committed to upholding Gender Equality, Variety Cruises, the leading small ship cruise company in Greece, actively supports the LGBTQ+ community. As a longstanding member of the International LGBTQ+ Travel Association (IGLTA), Variety Cruises shows its dedication. The company is also a strong advocate for the Trevor Project, a suicide prevention helpline for queer youth, and it is among the first cruise lines to implement optional preferred pronouns in its daily operations, promoting diversity and gender expression.
Constantine Venetopoulos, the Brand Director for Variety, belongs to the third generation of this Greek and family-owned cruise line. He will be joining guests on the Limited Collection LGBTQ+ itinerary, which sets sail on October 28, 2023. Constantine has been volunteering as a counselor for The Trevor Project since 2011, a nonprofit organization focused on ending LGBTQ+ youth suicide. Furthermore, he directed the film “Draw With Me,” the first documentary on transgender history to be presented at the United Nations during the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots. Currently, he actively leads the Gender Equality pillar of the Variety Cares foundation.
In celebration of Pride Month, Variety Cruises demonstrates its ongoing support for LGBTQ+ travelers and the community. As part of this commitment, the cruise line is offering a limited-time promotion for its LGBTQ+ Cruise in the Seychelles. The itinerary includes a special Off-Broadway-at-Sea night, hosted by the influencer, actor, and model Edward Pishiyski, providing an engaging experience for guests. Additionally, soft adventure tours allow participants to explore the stunning beauty and rich cultural heritage of the destination.
